Quick Thoughts/Ideas

A Human Kindness Idea ...

First, a little experiment.  Reach up into the air, look up and say aloud, "I feel terrible."  Next, round your shoulders, look down and say, with enthusiasm, "I feel terrific!"  You should notice a disparity between the actions and the words.  Oddly enough, it is the body that feels true and the words which seem false.  We can therefore assume that your body position helps determine mood more than the actual words you use.
Second, Daniel Goleman in Social Intelligence writes about how many things we do release positive brain chemicals into our minds.  Using a negative word, we become addicted to these chemicals and habits form because of them.  Goleman doesn't suggest in any way that raising your arms in the air and looking up releases any brain chemicals, but let's speculate: what if it does.  We certainly do feel better when in this pose.  Why DO we feel better?  It is because our arms are in the air and our face looks up to the sky?
Now if we feel better with arms in the air and face to the sky, can we then say that humans who practice human kindness are creatures of the sky?
